Friends of East Lake Community Library

Friends of East Lake Community Library is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization that raises funds to promote and enhance the library's services and facilities while also fostering closer relationships between the library and its community. Monies raised help to support materials and services not covered by library tax funds. All are welcome at Friends meetings, which are held at 10 am on the second Thursday of every month. 2026 Concert Series
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable musical experience!
Join us on the fourth Sunday of each month, from January through April, for our 2026 Concert Series. Each performance begins at 2:00 PM and features an hour of exceptional live music in an intimate setting. After the concert, enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception, where you can mingle with fellow music lovers and meet the performers. Click on 'more information' to see the lineup and learn more about the performers.
The Friends will once again be offering a ticket special during the month of December where patrons can purchase four concert tickets, which are normally prices at $15 each, for $50, a savings of $10. If seats are available, tickets may be exchanged for another date if desired.
Book Nook & Online Sales
Do you love books? Visit the Friends 'Book Nook' where you will find a wide selection of gently used books. Our Bookshop is located by the main doors of the library. You can purchase children’s books, current novels, paperbacks, non-fiction books, CDs, puzzles, gift baskets and more. Stop on by!
Donate gently used books and media to FOELCL. We provide a tax letter for your donations upon request. Donation bins are located on the side of the library.

Community Partner Program

Join the Friends of East Lake Community Library as a Community Partner and make a lasting impact where it matters most—right here at home.
For just $100 a year, your promotional materials will be prominently displayed in the library, included in welcome packets for every new library cardholder, and featured on the library’s website. Your business will also be periodically highlighted in the library's quarterly newsletter, reaching thousands of engaged readers. It’s a powerful way to gain visibility, build goodwill, and show your support for literacy, learning, and local connection—all while making a meaningful difference.

Little Free Libraries
FOELCL donations support 5 Little Free Libraries which are facilitated with community partners. They are located at the Fire Station, Brooker Creek Preserve, the YMCA and in two Lansbrook parks.

Baskets, Raffles & Auctions
Gift baskets are sold at the front of the library year-round to support the Friends of the Library. Donations of new or gently used items like baskets, ribbons, and small gifts are welcome and help create these fun and thoughtful fundraisers.
