Passport Services
Effective February 13, 2026, East Lake Community Library ceased all passport application services due to updated federal guidelines. While this change is disappointing, legislation is underway that aims to restore these services. Community members are encouraged to contact their congressional representatives and express support for the Community Passport Services Access Act (H.R. 6997), a bipartisan bill introduced on January 13, 2026, that seeks to reinstate passport services at nonprofit libraries.
