Looking to make a difference in your community? Consider volunteering at the Library. Our Library offers a wide range of rewarding opportunities for individuals who are passionate about books, learning and community engagement. As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to assist with various tasks from shelving books and organizing materials to helping staff with activities. Volunteering Opportunities
Circulation: Duties include but are not limited to shelving library items, maintaining shelf appearance, pulling on shelf hold items, and checking in returned books.
Children’s Floor: Duties include but are not limited to shelving children’s items and maintaining cleanliness of the children’s room.
Book Nook: Duties include evaluating, sorting, and pricing donated items for resale.
Online Sales: Duties include evaluating, sorting, and pricing donated items for online resale.
Teen Tech Team: Duties include helping patrons with tech-related questions and creating digital media.
Bling Buddies: Duties include sorting, cleaning, pricing, and displaying donated jewelry.
Garden Guru's: Duties include garden maintenance, watering plants, and cleaning the area of the children's garden.
Teens & Tweens: Special Opportunities
Become a part of our vibrant community by joining the Middle School Advisory Board (MSAB) or Teen Advisory Board (TAB)! These groups offer middle & high schoolers a fantastic opportunity to share their ideas, plan exciting events, and make a meaningful impact on the library community. The boards run during the school year, with meetings held in the evening. Participants must commit to attending one meeting monthly. All volunteer hours count towards Bright Futures, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) requirements and more. Join us and start making a difference today!
Collection Connection (Home Delivery):
Duties include delivering library materials to home-bound patrons (please note volunteers must be age 18+ are subject to a background check paid for by the library).
Helping Hands (Program Help):
Duties include but are not limited to assisting with program events and one-time volunteer opportunities (please note this program has a different volunteer application).
All applications are carefully evaluated. While we sometimes have a waitlist, we will respond to every application and keep you informed about your status. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us!
