This position oversees all information technology functions for the library, ensuring reliable, secure, and user‑friendly technology services for staff and patrons. The Part‑Time IT Technician performs advanced technical duties requiring independent judgment, strong problem‑solving skills, and specialized training in computer systems. Responsibilities include supporting hardware and software, operating systems, networked and electronic equipment, internet applications, and basic cybersecurity. The role requires excellent communication skills due to frequent interaction with both staff and vendors. This position reports directly to the Library Director.
