What are the Friends?

The Friends of the East Lake Community Library (FOELCL) is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization that raises money through book sales and other fundraising events.  Monies raised help to support materials and services not covered by library tax funds.

Who are the Friends?

East Lake Community Library is more than a library. It is a community center and a valuable  resource center for the East Lake corridor.  Library Friends are residents who love the library and enjoy the many services and events that the library provides. In turn, they support the library through the Friends so it can offer even more materials,  programs and services.

What have the Friends provided?

Recently, the Friends have funded the outdoors aluminum canopy, the drive-up book drop, the digital road sign, the Read Box collections (books and DVDs), Sunshine State readers, Online Reading Club, Lego Robotics Club, Sunday concerts, children's programs, and special projects and outreach such as the Little Free Libraries located throughout the East Lake area.
