Dear East Lake Library Patrons,
Based on the latest mandates from Pinellas County (“Safer at Home” order) and guidelines from the CDC, East Lake Community Library will be closed until it is deemed safe to reopen. We will miss you but hope to protect the health of our staff and patrons.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Late fees are waived for all library materials during this time.
Holds (reserves) will be suspended while the library is closed.
Book drops and donations bins will be locked; please keep your library items until we reopen.
Check our Digital Resources page and our Facebook pages (ADULTS, KIDS, TEENS) for FREE digital resources, new videos and databases (e.g. Tumblebooks and openlibrary.org). Also, make sure to check out the Coronavirus Resources page for info on COVID-19 and online activities to keep you and the kids entertained!
We are also increasing our Hoopla downloads from FIVE to EIGHT per patron for the next three months to give you greater access to e-resources. Also, hoopla's Bonus Borrows Collection, with more than 1,100 top titles, is available! When you borrow these titles now through April 30th, you will be debited ZERO borrows from your monthly hoopla borrows!
No Internet access at home? Our library WiFi extends to the parking lot; drive up to the front of the building while we’re closed!
Please focus on your health and well-being during these difficult times while we work together to protect everyone, especially our most vulnerable citizens. Stay well!
Lois Eannel, Library Director
