East Lake Community Library First Annual 20/20 Fund Drive!
East Lake Community Library [ELCL] opened in its present location in 1999 because Moms & Dads wanted a library in our area for families. With continuing support from our community, we have grown from a collection of donated books in a donated store front to our present expanded facility.
Now as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, and the expanded opportunities we now have to serve the community, we ask each patron to support our First Annual 20/20 Fund Drive. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by May 1st to fund our community-generated strategic plan vision of the Next Chapter for ELCL.
Monies received from the county do not fully fund all the wonderful offerings at ELCL which you enjoy today. We get grants, book donations, gifts and seek special funding sources to augment offerings and we will continue to work to get them.
But we need YOU – our patrons too!
We ask each patron to support our annual fund with a $20 donation. (Or more if you are feeling generous!)
You can make a difference!
You are among over 8,000 patrons who frequent ELCL each month checking out materials, attending concerts, STREAM learning initiatives, community meetings, cultural programs, children’s literacy programs, teen after-hours special gatherings, book or sewing clubs or using online databases. You use Wi-Fi or the computers or come in to read or work on a puzzle. You check out mobile hotspots or get tech or genealogy assistance. If you enjoy these programs, help us fund more!
THE NEXT CHAPTER vision commits ELCL to enrich and inspire through new and expanded programs, technology and services to meet the changing needs of the patrons we serve. To do this we need donations from patrons like you!
